DOG PARTY

Dog Party is a California-based, indie rock'n'roll band, composed of sisters, Gwendolyn and Lucy Giles. Compared with bands like The Go-Go's, The Ramones, The White Stripes, and The Runaways, Dog Party establishes their own unique west coast sound with a dash of punk and a sprinkle of pop.

Dog Party formed in 2007 when the sisters were just 10 and 8 years of age.  After debuting at their elementary school talent show, Dog Party quickly started playing shows around their hometown of Sacramento. They released their debut self-titled record in 2009 on Half of Nothing Records.

Dog Party soon caught the attention of Kepi Ghoulie of the Groovie Ghoulies.  After rocking numerous hometown shows together, Ghoulie took Dog Party out on their first tour.  From 2011 to 2016, Dog Party would embark on numerous US and European tours opening for Kepi Ghoulie and performing as his backing band.

In 2013, Dog Party released their 3rd album “Lost Control” (Engineered by Chris Woodhouse) and debut release on Asian Man Records, generating buzz and launching them in the DIY music community. Furthermore, Dog Party released “Vol.4” (2015) and “‘Til You’re Mine” (2016) on Asian Man Records.

In 2016, Dog Party was the special guest on Green Day’s Revolution Radio tour.  This was a full circle moment for the band, as Gwendolyn was first inspired to pick up a guitar after hearing American Idiot.

In 2018, Dog Party released their 6th album “Hit & Run” on Brat Mag + Music. Dog Party followed the release with a headline tour, in addition to tours supporting The Aquabats, Reel Big Fish, Bad Cop Bad Cop, and CJ Ramone throughout 2019.

Dog Party has also been featured films SLC Punk 2: Punk’s Dead (2016) and Coast (2021) in the live concert band footage

With their most recent release, Dog Party put out their 7th studio album, “Dangerous” on their brand new label called Sneak Dog Records on May 17th, 2024.  “Dangerous” was recorded in San Jose, CA at District Recording and produced by Ryan Perras and Dog Party.
