FOXX BODIES
Foxx Bodies, a four-piece from Tucson, AZ, in various interviews and write-ups are coined as a new, young Riot Grrrl band; and ranging stylistically from Sleater-Kinney to a 50’s Western sound, they proudly bear this identity. Witnessing their charisma live, however, it is clear that these talented musicians represent a new direction of punk/politically-driven music – a sound which is urgent, clever, energetic, and above all, important.
I QUIT (Official Music Video)
ABOUT "I QUIT"
"I Quit" tackles the internal struggle of caring too much about a job and a place of work, where the weight of responsibility and the desire for success often feels heavier than it should. It's a reflection on the exhaustion that can come from pushing yourself beyond your limits, only to realize that walking away is sometimes the healthiest choice.
Bella Vanek, the band’s lead vocalist, shares, "'I Quit' is about realizing you’re allowed to choose yourself when your job is killing you." The band collaborated closely on this track, drawing inspiration from their own work experiences. "I asked everyone in the band to tell me one thing that made them angry at work when we were writing the song so there’s some of all of our inner dialogues in there," says Vanek. The result is a passionate and powerful track that speaks to anyone who’s ever felt the frustration of being overworked and underappreciated.
